Aspire Believe Achieve

Eco Council

Our Eco-Committee is a group of young people who, with the support of an adult Eco-Coordinator, take responsibility for ensuring Arnold view is an Eco-friendly school. They are committed to help make our school more environmentally-friendly.

We have achieved both Climate Clever School and a Plastic Clever School status over the last two years.

We also have the Eco Flag award, which we have maintained for the second year running.

We recognise and celebrate many Eco days throughout the year such as:

  • Earth Day
  • World Ocean Day
  • Walk To School week

Big Schools Birdwatch

As part of our Schools Eco Programme we are taking part with The RSPB  Big Schools' Birdwatch 2025 from 7th January-14th February.

At home, you can sign up and be part of The Big Garden Birdwatch, just copy this link into your search engine.

 https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/big-garden-birdwatch

It's the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers like you take part, helping to build a picture of how garden birds are faring.

To mark this great event the Eco team will create an exciting display, so please feel free to take photos, paint, draw or collage any birds you see and bring them into school.
