Hello and welcome to the Robin’s class page!
My name is Miss Church and I am Class 5’s teacher. This year, we aim to learn a lot and we will try to have lots of fun doing it! Our learning this year will include…
- Autumn 1 – The History of Nottingham
- Autumn 2 – Local Geography of Nottingham
- Spring 1 – Toys from the past and present
- Spring 2 – Countries in the UK, capitals and seas
- Summer 1 – The Great Fire of London
- Summer 2 – Hot and cold places
As well as the topics above, we will also have WOW days which include being Outlaws, toys, baking, food tasting and visits to Arnold Library! If you want further information on what we are learning please see the Curriculum section and Sticky Knowledge sheets.
We have forest school on a Monday afternoon (make sure you bring your wellies!) And our PE day is on a Friday this term so you’ll need to coming in your PE kit on this day. We check planners on a Monday so please try to remember to read 5 times and bring them into school every day. Homework is sent home on a Friday and is due back the following Thursday.
In Key Stage One, we have a dedicated team of amazing teaching assistants. Mrs Baxter, Mrs Garden and Miss Spencer work in all three classes supporting with English, RWI and maths. In the afternoons, they do intervention work and Miss Spencer also leads our brilliant forest school sessions.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and my 2 children. We love to be outside and explore different places in Nottinghamshire. My favourite place to be is the beach and we go camping every year in our tent (the best bit is making a fire and cooking marshmallows! Yum!)
