Hello and welcome to the Robin’s class page!

I am Miss Jones and l am very excited about all of the fun learning we are going to be doing in class 5 this year! 

We will begin the term with a focus on a whole class story and we will be doing lots of work on cooperation, friendship, kindness and how we can work together as a team.

Our exciting topics this year are…

Spring 1 –Famous People in the Past

Spring 2 – Comparing the UK with a non-EU country

Summer 1 – Intrepid Explorers

Summer 2 – Wonderful Weather

PE days will be Monday and Wednesday so don’t forget to come in your PE kit on those days. We also have forest school sessions but don’t worry we will remind you to bring your wellies. Planners will be checked on a Thursday for the previous week, so please remember to read and write in them 5 times. Homework is sent home on Friday and is due back the following Thursday.

I am really looking forward to all of our new topics, WOW days and the fun we will have! The WOW days include, bonfire themed dress up and crafts, a drama session about famous people in the past with a specialist, food tasting and a trip out.

I like to have a colourful and bright classroom. I like having lots of fun but I also like everyone to show respect and kindness to each other. I enjoy being creative and love teaching art and DT. I also have a real passion for English, especially stories. I am really excited to read you lots of imaginative, interesting and funny books!  When I am not in school, you will find me spending time with my family and friends, watching Disney films, on a walk and exploring new places or chilling with my very spoilt pug Dudley!

Miss Spencer is our wonderful teaching assistant – She is in class with us every morning and then works across KS1 and the rest of the school in the afternoons. Miss Spencer also leads our brilliant forest school!
