Hello and welcome to Class 6! We are called the Kingfishers. My name is Miss De Wael and I am Class 6’s teacher. This year, we will be learning about a variety of topics in a fun and interesting way. We will be having visitors in school and going on trips, to enhance our learning experience and make our learning as interactive and as fun as possible! Our learning this year will include…  

• Autumn 1 – The Ancient Maya Civillization  

• Autumn 2 – Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanoes  
• Spring 1 – Ancient Greece  
• Spring 2 – The Desert  
• Summer 1 – History of Arnold   
• Summer 2 – Geography of Arnold 

  
As well as the topics above, we will also be learning about lots of other subjects and completing lots of projects around these. Please see the Curriculum section on our website for additional information. 

Our PE days are on a Tuesday and Friday so children can come to school in P.E. kit on those days. We check our planners on a Monday so please sign these when you read. Spelling homework is sent out on Monday and is due back in by Friday.
