Hello and welcome to class 4 we are the Owl class and we are year 1.   

My name is Miss Church and this is my second year at Arnold View. I am very excited about all of the fun and engaging learning that will be had this year.

We will begin the term with a focus on a whole class story and we will be doing lots of work on cooperation, friendship, kindness and how we can work together as a team. We will have a fabulous year making memories and learning lots along the way! 

Our exciting topics this year include…. 

Autumn 1 – History- Gun powder plot 

Autumn 2- Geography – Oceans and Continents  

Spring 1- Famous People in the Past 

Spring 2- Comparing UK with a non-EU country 

Summer 1- Intrepid Explorers 

Summer 2- Wonderful Weather 

PE days will be Wednesday and Thursday so don’t forget to come in your PE kit on those days. We will also have forest school at different points throughout the yer but don’t worry I will let you know when you need to bring in your wellies!

Planners will be checked on a Monday for the previous week, so please remember to read and write in them 5 times.  

In my spare time I love to spend time with my amazing family, especially when myself and my children bake yummy cakes! I also love to swim and paint.
