Welcome to our Foundation family and the wonderful world of the Busy Bees!

We believe that every child is an individual and we work hard to ensure that all children reach their full potential in our safe, fun and stimulating environment. We are very proud of the Unit and we love working here! We are looking forward to an excellent year, making new friends and being the best we can be.

We have lots of exciting learning planned. We find out about a new topic each half term and learn through listening, watching, joining in, playing, experimenting, acting and moving!

Our topics are:

Autumn 1: The Never ending Story (childrens authors and traditional tales)

Autumn 2: Working 9-5 (jobs and the community)

Spring 1: Who do you think you are? (our bodies and keeping healthy)

Spring 2: Planes, trains and automobiles (transport and road safety)

Summer 1: It’s a bug’s life (minibeasts, growing plants and environments)

Summer 2: Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside (Past and present, sun safety)

As well as working hard on all of these, we will also manage to squeeze in Wow days and special celebrations such as Grandparents Day, Fire service visit, Diwali, Christmas, a Beach Party and pizza making! Phew, no wonder we are called the Busy Bees!!
